Citibank Credit Card overcharging finance interest in Malaysia

Is Citibank credit card as well as other banks prone to overcharging the finance interest? A quick search online and I found several complaints in other countries but have not found any posting in Malaysia. Either nobody knew they were overcharging, or even they did experience it but didn’t made any blog post and thus no such info was found in the public domain.

I have been a loyal Citibank credit card user for so many years. I think I have been with them for more than 10 years. Still, loyalty count for nothing when it comes to customer service from Citibank Malaysia.

The Bottled Wealth TBW Fine Wine Investment

This is not your usual traditional investment. The Bottled Wealth (TBW) purports to be a fine wine investment that they said you could get minimum 10% to 15% returns within one to three years. These kinds of alternative investment we should be wary about as they are not regulated by the government. I would consider this as rather high risk despite what TBW would say.

I was having lunch with my colleague and received a call from TBW telemarketer requesting me to attend a talk on this fine wine investment scheme. To induced my attendance, they offered free vouchers and a free bottle of wine even if I didn't sign up for it. My schedule was rather tight, but the talk intrigue me and of course with the freebies, what's there not to give it a go!

Public Bank Shares Rights Issue

Public Bank Bhd shares has always been strong in the KLSE stock market. Whenever I'm browsing the StarBiz Top 100 volume traded shares, PBB is up there within the top 5 shares traded. Holding on to this blue chip share you can never go wrong in the Malaysian KLSE.

So when Public Bank announced that it wants to go for right issue sometime in May 2014, this was something new to me. My dad said it was time to let go the share because right issue would dilute the market value. I didn't look up this matter until I received the form to purchase the right issue shares.

Welcome to Jan's Info Pages Blog

Welcome to Jan's Info Pages blog. This is where I will blog about businesses that I come across within my area of work as well as sharing some KLSE information. This are basically my personal opinion and if you do read and decide to take action, please do not completely rely on my analyst as such information are very subjective, and skewed.

Once you should also search elsewhere for relevant pertinent information and cross check other people analyst, reviews and opinion before embarking on any opportunities. Any venture involve risk, and I have my fare share of success and failures. Hopefully there will be more successes than downsides and any venture that should you partake.

There is no magic formula, no magic bullet. However as you go along in taking up opportunities, your experiences will add up and who knows? You may be much better at it than me!

Life is a lifelong process and learning, trial and errors, and what works for some may not work for others.

However let it be known, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

May your dreams come through and wishing you all the best!
